I recommend it very highly the people there are so friendly and the food there is fabulous if you love home cooked food. I would recommend anyone to go there and sit down and have a good country meal with friendly folks that make you feel like you're part of a family.

Miss my favorite barbecue and was excited to learn how to order it online hooray. I was excited and thrilled to learn that. And bought it back to AZ they loved it.

Was on my way home to Delaware from Florida, wanted some good BBQ and I heard about this place from a lady at a gas station in South Carolina. Let me tell you, the food is to DIE FOR!!!! I’m so upset we don’t have something like this up north. Not to mention the hospitality. I realize southerners are sweeter in general, however every employee was super busy, yet also very very cordial. I couldn’t have asked for better food or service. You guys knock it out of the park. Did I mention the prices? Totally thought I was gonna be spending more than I did. It’s a wonderful deal. You just have to eat here!! Thank you guys!

Quick stop on our way home from flea markets! Definitely glad we picked this spot. Delicious bbq they got the good ice and our food came out supper fast for how busy they were.

Walked in and the owner was talking abusively to his employees. Not what you want to hear when you walk in.

Psyched about eating some chicken liver which were edibly delicious. The gizzards became hard and not chewable after they cooled.

Being a "pass-througher" to the area, my experience at White Swan Bar-B-Que was exactly what I was looking for to satisfy those country cooking cravings. We ordered a variety of menu options from pork sandwiches to fried chicken and fish. EVERYTHING was amazing, including the price and service.

The White Swan - today’s journey was 338 miles in 8 hrs. with several stops along the way including this one at the White Swan for lunch. When we travel we try to find those mom & pop restaurants that give the local feel. This was truly one of those places. Holly and I chose a six top for a place to sit and while there, a few people decided to join us. They ended up including the gentleman who handles all of the refrigeration needs of the restaurant and as we were sitting there talking they were telling us about the owner and how funny he is. Well, he showed up at our table and they were right. He’s not only the restaurant owner but he’s also the town mayor and the town comedian from what I could gather. It was a great start for lunch with wonderful food, barbecue of course, good waitress service, and a lot of entertainment. Called in a 40 dollar order on Thursday at 330pm the lady was vary rude. Said it's bbq sandwich day.it would be at least 45min to fry chicken. If this place rather make 2.50 for a sandwich. Than an 40 dollar order I was taking to a family that lost a loved one. Fine Smithfield chicken and bbq was more than happy to serve me.

I stop here every time I visit near here, if I can. When I was a kid my family visited my grandmother every year, so it's kinda in my blood. I always bring 5 lbs. back to remember my true NC heritage.

Love this place. A customer came in and had traveled from Virginia just to eat here. Best place for bbq and fried chicken.

I came into to order there was a man who came in behind me and as I started to order the lady stopped taking my order and took the man's order. Now I don't know if it was because I was black or not but still as I tried to get another order they kept walking past.

Great baked chicken when it's browned. Comfortable seating and good table service.

Stopped on a road trip 40 minutes before closing. The staff was super nice, everything was very clean, and honestly the barbecue kind of blew me away. I'm not even a barbecue fan and I cleaned my plate. Specials that night were yams and collards - both were delicious. Great bbq stop, especially if you're traveling - only about 7 minutes off I-95.

We got there they were closing in 30 minutes of course they had everything shut down so we were very nice and only ate what they had left the waitress is very nice there was one lady in there that was not very nice but the food was awesome

Great southern comfort food, especially the pulled pork and collard greens.

This place is hard to beat. I can sense the reviews about its age and "cleanliness" but any of those people must not be used to down home local southern places. The best food I get from a place with wood panel walls and news paper clippings of their achievements everywhere. The menu is simple and the food is an absolute delight! They do accept cards, which some may worry about with a lot of local places, and while this place may seem like its one-off, they have a good few locations! Always try to come by once a month if possible!

Always a great place to stop in and get a delicious bbq sandwhich. The hush puppies are so addictive! The service is quick and the staff are super nice!

The food may be ok but the prices are ridiculous!! I got a "combo" a bbq sandwich, french fries and tea and it was over $9. i hope the enjoy that $9, I won't be stopping there anymore.

My family is new to NC and we stumbled upon this little gem, the food is damn near the best we've tried in NC so far, the staff remembered us after 2 times, they go above and beyond to make your dinning the best. The prices are extremely good as well. We will be frequent customers thanks.

Possibly the best BBQ, ever. Hushpuppies, pork sandwich, fried chicken livers, fried chicken, collards, Mac n' cheese and green beans were all fantastic. And we took home 2 pounds of vacuum sealed pork. Winner!!

Food was terrible! The chicken was lukewarm, if you are MSG sensitive do not eat the food. I am highly MSG sensitive and now I am having a terrible reaction! The star is for the service, they were really great.

4 sandwiches and 2 small drinks was 25.88... aint that damn good

you have to try the mac n cheese!! i looked up barbecue places off i-95 and decided to give it a try, and my whole family enjoyed everything we ate. their chicken is heavenly!! this place is awesome

The food was really delicious, from the fried chicken to the green beans to the slow. The service was friendly and efficient, and nearly everyone wore a mask. There was also hand sanitizer on each table.

The White Swan is one of the best BBQ places in the state. The sweet tea keeps up with the best. The Mac n Cheese the best I’ve ever had outside of my mom’s. The potato salad is creamy and flavorful. It’s up there with the best. I haven’t even got to the BBQ which is tender with a mildly hot very light Eastern NC vinegar sauce. The hush puppies are again up there with the best. Remember to ask to get your tea filled up before you go!

Thursdays sweet reward, with 2 dollars over stuffed BBQ sandwiches. They normally are $4 but well worth it. Delicious hush puppies and crispy fried chicken.

Our first time here. We arrived very hungry about 4pm after traveling from SC to VA. Even though it seemed a slow time, they weren't slacking on hot fresh food! I had fresh chicken in front of me in minutes, along with mac n cheese and potato salad. Fresh hush puppies were on the table before we could sit down. Hubby got a chicken/bbq (voted best bbq in town) combo with flat string beans that were delicious. Don't come in thinking this is high prices and snooty surroundings, this is cozy comfort food at its best! We couldn't be happier to have stopped here. Thanks ladies, great job!

North Carolina vinegar based barbeque spot. They only do pork bbq but it is phenomenal. The sweet tea is really as good as they say. The best item on the menu is the delicious pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw, although there is no traditional bbq sauce it really hits the spot.

Excellent east Carolina BBQ. They have the best Brunswick stew of them all

Stopped for lunch on the way down I -95. Everything was amazing - food was tasty, service was quick and friendly! Would definitely go back if in the area!
